The Body Code in Sarasota
Sometimes it is not one thing. You feel run down, or foggy, or just not quite right, and there is no single tidy explanation. Your labs look fine. You are doing the things. And still, something feels out of balance in a way that is hard to point to.
The Body Code is a gentle, complementary energy method intended to look at that bigger picture. Up front, so we are clear: this is energy work, not medical care, and it is meant to sit alongside the providers you already trust, never to replace them. With that said, for people who have tried the Emotion Code and want to go broader, the Body Code is often the natural next step. It is one of the three certified Code modalities in my Energy Work & Healing hub.
What the Body Code is
The Body Code was developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson and is taught through [Discover Healing], where I earned my certification. Where the Emotion Code focuses mainly on releasing trapped emotions, the Body Code widens the lens. It is a more comprehensive framework that looks at six areas the method associates with balance: emotional, structural, the body’s circuitry, toxicity, pathogens, and lifestyle or nutrition factors.
I want to describe that carefully. Those are the categories the method uses to organize a session. I am not diagnosing anything physical, and I am not making a medical claim about what is happening in your body. The Body Code is a structured way of gently exploring what might be sitting out of balance, with the intention of supporting your body’s own equilibrium.
How a session actually works
This is calm and low-key. You stay fully clothed, and you can sit or lie down.
As always, we start by talking. I want to hear what is going on and what you are hoping to feel. Then I use a gentle muscle-testing approach, working through the Body Code’s framework as a kind of yes-or-no check-in, to help identify what may be ready to be addressed across those six areas. When something surfaces, the release is gentle, usually a light pass along the body’s energy pathways. There is nothing invasive, nothing to brace for, and no pressure to perform.
Because the Body Code covers more ground than the Emotion Code, some people like to come back over several sessions to work through different layers. There is never a quota. From the moment you arrive, my whole goal is for you to feel safe and genuinely well cared for.
What many clients report
I will tell you what tends to happen, not what is promised, because everyone responds differently. Clients commonly describe:
A general sense of feeling more balanced or settled
More steady energy through the day
Calmer sleep and an easier time winding down
Feeling like a few different things eased at once, rather than just one
Some people notice physical tension softening as the session settles, which is part of why this fits so well next to the hands-on bodywork I do.
Where the Body Code fits among the three
Most people meet the Emotion Code first, because it is focused and approachable. The Emotion Code is a great entry point if you are new to this. The Body Code is the broader sibling, useful when you sense that more than one thing is off and you want a wider look. And if what keeps surfacing is a deep, recurring story about yourself, a belief that quietly runs the show The Belief Code is built specifically for that layer.
You do not have to choose perfectly. Tell me what is going on and I will help you start in the right place, then we follow what is actually helping.
Keeping this safe and honest
A few commitments I always hold to.
The Body Code is complementary and supportive. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment, or a cure for any physical, emotional, or mental-health condition, and nothing in a session should be taken as medical advice. If you are working with a doctor or a therapist, please keep doing that. This work is intended to support that care. If anything comes up that belongs with a licensed professional, I will gently say so and point you there.
And I will never tell you that someone else handled your care wrong. I would rather focus all of our energy on what we can do to help you feel better from here.
Ready when you are
If you have been feeling generally off in a way that is hard to name, the Body Code offers a gentle, whole-picture place to explore. Book a session, or Contact me first and tell me what is going on, and I will help you decide whether to start here or with the Emotion Code. Either way, you will be well taken care of.

“Tracy was amazing. She took the time to listen to me and tailor my services specifically for me. She had great questions and follow-up questions to make sure I was completely comfortable and satisfied. I’ve had the craniosacral massage, spinal flow technique and lymphatic massage. She has a very relaxing setup and I wish I lived closer to see her more often.”

Tracy Bisaha, Licensed Massage Therapist (MA90791) and Licensed Facial Specialist (FB9776285)I’m the founder and sole practitioner behind Bodywork Elevated in downtown Sarasota.
My journey into this work began in healthcare, first as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later as a phlebotomist in both hospital and laboratory settings. Those experiences taught me to look beyond the symptoms and truly pay attention to the person in front of me. They also taught me the importance of compassion, trust, and helping people feel safe during vulnerable moments. That clinical foundation still shapes how I read a body today.
I’m dual-licensed in Florida as both a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Licensed Facial Specialist. My advanced training includes CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute Myofascial Release I through John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Seminars, Spinal Flow Technique with Dr. Carli Axford, Brazilian Lymphatic Massage through the Josie Rushing Method®, and certification in the Emotion Code®, Body Code™, and Belief Code® developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson.
One of the greatest gifts I can give the people who trust me with their care is my commitment to keep learning. Every class I take and every technique I study gives me another way to better support the unique person on my table. I truly believe learning is a lifelong journey, and I never want to stop growing in a profession I love.
My years in luxury hospitality, including The Ritz-Carlton, taught me something just as valuable as my clinical training: how you feel while you’re receiving care matters just as much as the care itself.
A warm welcome.
A peaceful environment.
Never feeling rushed.
Knowing someone is fully present with you.
Those aren’t extras to me, they’re part of the treatment.
Today, those two worlds come together in everything I do. My healthcare background helps me understand the body. My years in luxury hospitality remind me that every detail of the experience matters. Together, they’ve shaped the philosophy behind Bodywork Elevated.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Body Code?
The Body Code is a gentle energy method, developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, that is intended to support whole-body balance by exploring six areas the method associates with equilibrium. It is a complementary practice for your well-being, not medical care.
What’s the difference between the Body Code and the Emotion Code?
The Emotion Code focuses mainly on releasing what are called trapped emotions, while the Body Code uses a broader framework that looks at six areas, including emotional, structural, and lifestyle factors. Most people start with the Emotion Code and move to the Body Code when they want a wider look.
Does the Body Code really work?
Many clients report feeling more balanced, more settled, or more steady on energy after a session, though results vary and I never promise a specific outcome. I offer it as a supportive practice, not a cure for any condition.
What happens in a Body Code session?
You stay fully clothed and comfortable, we talk about what is going on, and I use a gentle muscle-testing approach to work through the Body Code framework. Anything that surfaces is released gently, with nothing invasive.
Is the Body Code safe?
Yes, it is gentle and non-invasive, and most people find it deeply relaxing. If you have a medical or mental-health concern, please keep working with your licensed providers, because this work is meant to support that care, not replace it.
Can the Body Code replace medical treatment?
No. The Body Code is complementary and supportive only, and it is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care. If you are seeing a doctor or therapist, please continue, and I am glad to support that work alongside them.
